Title
Britain Imposes Embargo on Iran
Summary
The European Union in Brussels has recently taken steps to impose a trade embargo on certain individuals and companies that have been involved with Iran’s nuclear program. Another restriction placed on Iran is travel. Iranians will now not be able to travel within most of Europe’s states. However, Iran who claims this nuclear program is for peaceful purposes opposed to causing mass destruction.
Analysis
Weapons of mass destruction were originally made for dominant purposes. Iran is looking for a way to get more power by testing out these weapons. A way in which to curb Iran’s search for power is to impose embargoes on them. Less money coming into the state always hurts that state. Although there is no direct connection from the tourist or trade money to the nuclear program, there is a message of power being sent from the European Union. The message to Iran is to not hold or even test weapons of mass destruction.
