Title |
Yet another riot in Greece
| |
Summary |
A new bill was proposed in Greece this past week. This bill would utilize harsh austerity measures. It passed with 154 of the 300 seats in parliament meaning that it will go into effect soon. Riots broke out in response to social projects having their funding cut in the austerity measures. These riots are returning from months of pressure from the debt in Greece.

Analysis |
Money gives security to a nation. With the austerity measures, the lower class in Greece is feeling like a support line is being cut from them. Without the institutions the lower class feels unfairly treated and revolts. However, this is just a desperate act to keep overall wealth within the country and Europe as a whole so as to make then more prosperous over time.
