Gaddafi killed in his home town of Sirte
Summary
Muammar Gaddafi, the former leader of Libya, was killed Thursday outside of his hometown. National Transitional Council troops over ran the Gaddafi’s hometown of Sirte. Gaddafi was injured in the attack but died later from his injuries. Video and images of him after his capture flooded the internet.
Analysis
With the death of Gaddafi, the National Transitional Council can finally stabilize the country. The Loyalists will now slowly lose power with their figurehead killed. The NTC will continue to clash with Loyalists over the coming months as they work to stabilize the government. After the country is stabilized it can grow to become a powerful country in Africa.
