Title |
Chinese Space Program takes great stride.
| |
Summary |
Yesterday, China successfully launched a test rocket into space. Its mission is to survey Chinese farmland. Another rocket will soon be launched and they are expected to pair up. This is a great stride in the effort to achieve their goal of building a space station on the moon, which they have promised will be completed by the end of the decade. China is currently investing several billion dollars into their space program to achieve this goal. The current optimism in China is not a result of science, but it is a result of new technologies being developed.

Analysis |
This recent activity in the Chinese space program is very intriguing and the United States should keep tabs on their progress. This is an effort to improve their standing amongst world powers in terms of science, especially since the United States recently eliminated their space program, citing that it was not worth the expense. Now without the United States in space, their is a new power that clearly has initiative and is determined to prove to the world that they can build a space station on the moon by the end of the decade.
