Leaders of the UK and France Visit Libya
Summary
The British Prime Minister and French President traveled to Tripoli to show support of the Libyan revolution. Anti-Gaddafi fighters have been looking to take one of Gaddafi’s last strongholds- Sirte. The visit shows that certain areas are much safer than they were due to the fact that the leaders felt secure enough to go.
Analysis
The Libyan rebels have received quite a lot of assistance from the UK and France. This support has come in many forms such as military and economic aid. Cameron and Sarkozy’s visit allows the people to see that they are truly supported by these two nations. The visit is in full support of the people and their future government. The NTC is to be involved in order to secure the nation’s new authority. All of these actions are to make certain that Libya can reform itself in the best way possible.
