One may think that this could never happen, but 20% of the rain forest is already destroyed. Thinking ahead, Norway is not just throwing money at Brazil. They are donating the money in increments based on the action taken on deforestation. This idea is sure to start a decline in logging and farming in the Amazon. It is too early to say that logging will cease to exist in the Amazon, but the collective idea of starting a rain forest fund will lead the way in trying to make that happen.
