Analysis
International organizations have assumed the role of resolving the fighting in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda. The fighting is creating a huge toll on the citizens of both countries. Many places are without the basic needs of food, water, and shelter. International agencies have stepped to the challenge with the aim to ease tensions during the recently called cease-fire.
The United Nations has stated that there is now the ability to disperse the food and other resources thanks to the cease-fire. The World Food Programm, UNICEF, UNHCR and UNFPA have all deployed resources to the dire areas of Goma.
The UN has criticized and warned against any attacks that may affect civilians. It has also called on the state’s leaders to ensure that the fighting comes to a resolve.
Many countries in the European Union, the United States, and the 15-state Security Council of the UN have all pledged help to the conflicted and devastated area. As a collection of states, the conflict should be able to be decreased in sense of the toll on the humanitarian aspect. Warnings, such as the one against civilians, should act as deterrents for further, harsh actions of the rebels. The joint aid of resources may help to ensure peace. The troubled states are being given humanitarian aid and advice from military advanced countries.
Therefore, with the help of an assembly of states the crisis should be able to come to a resolution. It will take be the diplomacy of the many states around the world to ease the conflicts, yet it can be done for the process has already started.
